Water for People

Water For People Canada is a charitable, nonprofit, international humanitarian organization dedicated to the development and delivery of clean, safe water and sanitation solutions in developing nations. It is the Canadian equivalent of the U.S.-based charity, Water For People. Canadian water industry professionals established Water For People–Canada in 1995, to support and promote the mission of Water For People in Canada among the public and the water community.

NTWWA Support for Water for People

NTWWA, under the umbrella of Western Canada Water, has been raising money for Water for People Canada since 2004. In that time, thanks to the generosity of the donors and the enthusiasm of those attending the conferences and participating in the silent auctions, NTWWA has raised more than $36,000 for this very worthwhile charity.

How can you support Water For People?

Delegates to NTWWA conferences will tell you – the silent auction to support Water for People Canada is one of the best parts of our annual get together. It’s an opportunity to find that perfect gift for a family member (or yourself!), engage in a bidding war with others to get it, and support an excellent cause in the process!

In 2016  NTWWA experimented with asking everyone coming to the conference for donations for the auction table – not just the tradeshow exhibitors and the businesses in the city hosting the conference. And it worked wonderfully – so we are doing it again this year.

Please take this invitation to bring to the conference a small (or large) donation for the silent auction. It’s a good way to promote your business or organization, or just to contribute as an individual, knowing it is for an excellent cause. The item could be anything – in the past the items have ranged from airline tickets to hand-made jewelry.
